All interactions through Doorknock must remain respectful and professional. Abusive, threatening, or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. Whether you are a buyer, homeowner, or agent, maintaining a positive and constructive approach is essential.

‍Privacy and Information Sharing
We take privacy seriously. The way your personal information is shared depends on the type of Doorknock service you use:

‍Agent Supported: The Doorknock letter does not include any of the buyer’s personal details. If a homeowner expresses interest, their contact information is passed to the real estate agent, who facilitates the connection between the parties.

‍Private Sale: The buyer’s personal details (name, email, phone number) are included in the letter so that homeowners can reach out directly if they are interested in selling.Under no circumstances should users share another party’s contact details or personal information without consent.

‍Transparency and Honesty
Buyers using Doorknock should ensure their intentions are clear. The service is designed to create genuine opportunities for property transactions. Misleading, fraudulent, or speculative requests are strictly prohibited.

‍Inappropriate Content
Users must not include any offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content in their communications through Doorknock. This includes discriminatory, harassing, or misleading messages.

‍Legal Compliance
All users must comply with relevant New Zealand property laws, privacy laws, and anti-spam regulations. Buyers and homeowners should also ensure they conduct their due diligence before entering into any property transactions.

‍Safety Precautions
Doorknock carefully selects delivery agents for the Agent Supported service, but users should remain cautious when engaging with homeowners or buyers. If you are using the Private Sale option, ensure that you verify any responses and avoid sharing sensitive personal or financial details until a formal relationship is established.

‍No Guarantees
Doorknock is a connection service, and while we facilitate introductions, we do not guarantee responses from property owners or successful sales. Additionally, while we use up-to-date databases, some property information may be outdated or incomplete. Buyers and sellers should conduct their own research before proceeding with any transaction.

‍Suspicious Activity
If you notice any suspicious behaviour or fraudulent activity, please report it to Doorknock immediately through the ‘Contact Us’ section of our website. We reserve the right to suspend or remove users who violate these guidelines.
