• Acting as the intermediary between the homeowner and buyer if the homeowner shows interest.
• Managing the off-market sale process or pursuing a traditional sale if the property is listed later.

What is included in the Doorknocks?

Each Doorknock includes:
• A warm, professionally crafted letter from our founder, Tim, to the homeowner.
• Your business card for direct contact.
• Information about the process and how the homeowner can respond.
The Process
How long do I have to deliver the Doorknocks?

Agents must deliver all Doorknocks within 10 working days of receiving the address list. If you’re unable to meet this deadline, another agent in your agency can take over, or Doorknock will handle delivery without a refund. Timely, professional delivery is key to maintaining buyer and homeowner trust.
What happens if I can’t deliver a Doorknock within 10 days?

If you’re unable to deliver a Doorknock on time, you can assign the task to another agent in your agency. If that’s not possible, we’ll take over the delivery, but we won’t issue a refund for the undelivered Doorknocks.
How do I ensure proper delivery?

Deliver the Doorknocks in person whenever possible. If no one is home, leave the Doorknock securely on the door. Timeliness and professionalism are key.
How do I sign up?

It’s easy! Just reach out to us to get started, and we’ll send you the details on how to get your Doorknock bundle and start connecting with homeowners.
What happens if a homeowner is interested in selling?

If a homeowner expresses interest, you take over as their agent. You’ll facilitate the next steps, including guiding them through the off-market sale process or discussing traditional listing options.
Buyer and Seller Interactions
How do you ensure the property matches the buyer’s preferences?

We onboard buyers through detailed consultations to understand their needs, including structural features, zoning requirements, and preferences. Buyers understand that properties are off-market and may not have photos or floor plans available initially.
What happens if the homeowner agrees to sell, but the buyer is no longer interested?

If the buyer decides not to proceed, you’re free to list the property traditionally or present it to other buyers in your network. This creates a new listing opportunity for you without additional costs.
Legal and Compliance
Do homeowners need to sign an agency agreement?

Yes, before you proceed with any sale, homeowners will need to sign an agency agreement to comply with New Zealand’s Real Estate Agents Act 2008. This ensures all transactions are transparent and legally compliant.
What happens if no sale occurs?

If the Doorknocks don’t lead to a sale, there’s no obligation for you or the homeowner to continue. However, you’ve made valuable connections that could result in future opportunities.
