These Terms & Conditions outline how our service works and what you can expect. Please read them carefully before using Doorknock, as by engaging with our platform, you agree to these terms.

Overview of the Service
Doorknock is a platform that connects home buyers with potential sellers. We operate as a connection service and do not engage in negotiations, transactions, or legal agreements between buyers and sellers. Whether you choose our Agent-Supported or Private Sale option, Doorknock facilitates the process, but the outcome is entirely up to the parties involved.

Impartial Third Party
Doorknock is an independent service and does not represent either buyers or sellers in any official capacity. We do not guarantee the sale or purchase of any property, and we are not responsible for negotiations, property conditions, or the finalisation of sales. Our role is simply to facilitate introductions between interested parties.

Information Accuracy
We use reputable property databases and research methods to identify potential properties, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information provided. Property details may be subject to change or may contain errors beyond our control. Buyers are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before proceeding with any transaction.

Doorknock Message and Delivery
For Agent-Supported Doorknocks, a standardised letter designed to maximise responses is used. Buyers with bulk orders (100+ Doorknocks) may inquire about customisation options.

For Private Sale Doorknocks, buyers have more flexibility in personalising their message. In both cases, we ensure timely delivery, but we cannot guarantee a response from homeowners.

Contact Information Disclosure
We take privacy seriously. Buyer details (name, email, phone number) will only be shared with homeowners who show interest in engaging further. For Agent-Supported Doorknocks, details may also be shared with the agent handling the property.

Refund Policy
Refunds are only available under specific conditions:

If a buyer cancels their Doorknock order before any research or work has begun, they are entitled to a refund.

Once research has started or Doorknocks have been printed and/or sent, refunds are not available.

If a buyer selects a package that allows for a higher volume of Doorknocks (e.g. up to 100) but their search results in fewer than the maximum, they are still required to pay for the full package. Unused Doorknocks do not qualify for refunds. Doorknock is not a "pay as you go" service.

Refunds will only be issued in cases where Doorknock has failed to deliver the agreed service due to an error on our part (e.g., failure to send Doorknocks).

Indemnification
By using Doorknock, you agree to hold us, our team, and any affiliated agents harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of the service. Any disputes between buyers and homeowners are strictly between those parties, and Doorknock bears no responsibility.

Force Majeure
In cases of unforeseen circumstances—such as natural disasters, pandemics, or other major events—Doorknock will not be held liable for any disruptions in service or delays in delivery.

Data Protection
We adhere to all relevant New Zealand data protection laws. Your personal information is handled securely and in line with our Privacy Policy, which you can review for full details on how we manage data.

Dispute Resolution
If an issue arises, we encourage you to contact us directly to seek a resolution. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be settled in accordance with New Zealand law, either through binding arbitration or through the appropriate courts.

User Warranties
By using Doorknock, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and truthful. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all actions that occur under it.

Intellectual Property
All content on the Doorknock website—including logos, text, and design elements—is the property of Doorknock. You may not reproduce or use any content without prior written permission.

Complaints and Issue Resolution
We take concerns seriously and aim to resolve them fairly.If you experience issues with the delivery of your Doorknock, please contact us via the ‘Contact Us’ section on our website.

Upon receiving a complaint, we will review the details and take appropriate action, including contacting the relevant agent if necessary.

If a serious breach of policy occurs, we may take corrective steps, including discontinuing agent services.
All complaints are handled with confidentiality and respect for user privacy.

Agreement and Use of Service
By using Doorknock, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, please refrain from using our services.
